About the Author
The Reverend Allie McDougall is an Anglican priest serving in the Diocese of Huron, in Southwestern Ontario. Ordained to the presbyterate in March 2023, Mother Allie entered the Anglican tradition having been raised Pentecostal for the first 20 years of her life. Today, she finds spiritual alignment with the 1962 Canadian Book of Common Prayer and inspiration from the social and liturgical predilections of the Oxford Movement. Her intellectual interests include the English Reformation, Radical Orthodoxy, and evangelism to the post-Christian, post-COVID secular zeitgeist. Her baser interests involve cult film and television, music history, and overly ambitious baking projects. She is married to Davis and they have one daughter (so far).
On this blog, you will find three types of posts: selections from a column that Mtr. Allie writes for her diocesan newspaper entitled “Field Notes”, the occasional sermon, and a mishmash of whatever else she feels compelled to volunteer an opinion on.
